The MiRIDE GPS Solution starts at the GPS satellite system put in place by the US Government.

Their signals are recieved by the MiRIDE unit hidden on the vehicle. The GPS signal is processed into coordinates on Earth. These coordinates with some additonal information are packaged and dispatched over the mobile phone network. A unique combination of technologies allows the unit to utilize any of 4 mobile networks in North America!

The MiRIDE hosted system receives, processes and stores the data. Based on the information in the message the hosted system executes certain particular functions. The hosted system is web accessible 24/7 for users and systems, allowing continuous operation.

Any user with an account on the system can access their own data. All data is displayed in a web browser with a map display.

MiRIDE has put a package together that lets you relax and feel your property is secure. The complexity is replacing batteries and logging on to a web site, the rest is taken care of by us.

GPS systems rely on 24 Satellites 11,000 nautical miles above Earth. A GPS system in itself only determines its position on Earth. a GPS system relies on other systems to make the geographical location useful. For instance what is a position without a map? for the majority of us it is useless.

Using MiRIDE we offer end to end solutions where the position information will be put in the right frame of reference at the right location.

	The satellites have an exact distance to Earth (11,000 nautical miles)

	The GPS receiver knows exactly where every single Satellite is located (perpendicular to Earth) based on the almanac.

	The satellites send time stamps, their ID and the almanac to earth continuously

	Any place on Earth has visibility of at least 6 satellites at any time

A GPS reciever can calculate its position on Earth based on receiving a signal from 3 or more satellites. This mathematical calculation will get more accurate the more satellite signals are received.
